Ivor Goodsite Hoarding Competition

McGoff Construction has teamed up with pupils from Broadheath Primary School to transform the entrance hoarding at McGoff’s Broadheath Hub site in Altrincham.

Nearly all of 450 pupils from the School took part in the ‘Back to the Garden’ themed initiative with some really fantastic entries received. After some tough judging the entries were whittled down to 1 winner and 2 runners up per class whose drawings were displayed on the site hoarding receiving lots of positive feedback from the local community.

The Ivor Goodsite’s Hoarding Competition (ran by the Considerate Constructors Scheme) enables children of all ages to unleash their artistic skills on site hoardings which become large canvases for their imaginative creations.

McGoff Construction Love Lichfield

McGoff Construction has made a cash donation to local Fund; We Love Lichfield. The contractor has been working in the locality for the past six months constructing the 70 bed; The Spires care home for valued Client; Barchester Healthcare who also made a valuable donation to the cause.

McGoff Construction go Heart Safe

Manchester-based Principal Contractor; McGoff Construction has commenced a companywide strategy to become a heart safe business.

On site defibrillators have been purchased by the company for their Head Office in Altrincham and their two largest construction sites; Downtown Manchester and HB Villages Northampton. McGoff Construction are working in partnership with local charity; Hand on Heart to develop a strategy that will ultimately ensure that every McGoff site is heart safe.

The charity will also be working with McGoff Construction to identify schools, nurseries and community groups that are local to McGoff’s construction sites and who need assistance with their defibrillator funding. The site teams will then fundraise with a view to purchasing and donating a defib to a local cause.

Statistics show us that 12 young people will lose their lives each week due to sudden cardiac arrest, having the support of McGoff will help Hand on Heart achieve their charity aims as well supporting local communities across the UK.”

McGoff builds partnership with Barchester Healthcare

Manchester-based McGoff Construction are nearing completion of a new £7m new build care home in Lichfield for Barchester Healthcare. Known as ‘The Spires’, the 70 bed care home on Stafford Road will bring much-needed care services and job opportunities to the area. The home will create around 100 jobs and provide high-quality care services for older people and people living with dementia.

Following the success of the Lichfield scheme, McGoff are now working together with Barchester Healthcare on a second scheme located on Pevensey Bay Road in Eastbourne. This project involves the demolition of the existing derelict 120 bed nursing home and development of a new state-of-the-art 80 bed care home. Tree protection works have now commenced on site with demolition works due to start later this month.

Build commences on new £15m care facility in Formby

Build has commenced on a new, state-of-the-art £15 million care facility on Liverpool Road in Formby.

Located on the site of the former Mayflower Industrial Estate, the 76 bed expertly designed, purpose-built care centre will create approximately 80 jobs.

It will be the seventh care facility for New Care, a rapidly growing development-led care home operator. The 4,000sqm home will provide an exceptional clinical offering, including residential, nursing and specialist dementia care services.

Renowned for its compassionate, person-centred care, New Care’s individual approach is evident in its focus on ‘enablement’ which involves working with each resident individually to maintain their health and wellbeing and ensure they remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.
