The first Sea Life aquarium to be built in England in 15 years, this attraction includes an amazing underwater ocean tunnel, 30 incredible displays and more than 5,000 Sea Creatures.
Our work involved minor demolitions and stripping out previous tenant fitments, the provision of a concrete structure for the new ocean tank and life support system tanks, concrete bases for the ray tank, new raised holorib and timber floors with ramps, a mezzanine ocean tank access platform with staircase, new internal partitions and ceilings, new floor finishes throughout, decorations and new mechanical and electrical installation.
We also created a new set of customer toilers and changing rooms for the ocean tank dive experience, forming new entrance doors and all associated back of house fitting out works to the ground floor.
Suzie Atkinson from Merlin commented; “The Sea Life Manchester Scheme has been a great success and has proven to be a much welcomed addition to Manchester’s leisure and educational offering. McGoff Construction delivered the works to an exceptionally high standard – a positive collaborative approach was enjoyed by all parties and we hope to work with M&B again in the near future.”
