This 4,000 sq ft restaurant includes design features such as wood, glass, chrome and bronzed mirrors which fit in with the theme and lend this restaurant an amazingly bright and spacious feel. The double height building, includes a special luxalon wooden ceiling specially imported from America. The interior promotes a ground floor curved bar area, a raised dining area and access to the glass fronted mezzanine dining area via a spiral oak staircase with curved glass. The lighting is spectacular, with sunken spotlights and theatrical, suspended stage lights, from the ceiling, illuminating tables and creating an intensely dramatic mood.
The project comprised the complete refurbishment both internally & externally of an existing public house, including the removal and replacement of the roofs over the ground floor areas, extension of the ground floor trading area, catering kitchen, cellar and storage areas, and the provision of a conservatory. This project was awarded a Cheshire districts “Built-in Quality Award” for 2005, by Congleton Borough Council, in recognition of the “high working standards of construction and workmanship within”
The project to re-fit the bar with a completely new look was undertaken in minimum time. The scheme has given the bar a new lease of life. Mood lighting and steel patent glazing allow entire sections of the building to change colour creating a variety of atmospheres. The original work included providing bar facilities over all floors with dining areas on the second and ground floors. The building was extended using an aluminium clad structure to provide a new beer cellar, function room and bar area.
